Let's build Benton...together.

Welcome

As a licensed contractor and business owner, Philip Rodgers experience uniquely qualifies him to be a Police Juror.  He knows the regulations that pertain to construction and why they work.  He also knows the reasonable requirement of a homeowner, small business owner, or even a big developer.

Get To Know Philip

Philip Rodgers has been building and developing Bossier Parish since he was old enough to hold a broom. Upholding the legacy of his father, George Rodgers, the founding builder of the St. Jude Dream Home since 1991 and builder of homes in Bossier Parish since 1982. Philip took the reins of Rodgers Homes & Construction and the St. Jude Dream Home in 2006 where he uses his skill as a builder and his heart for helping others. The St. Jude Dream Home is at the core of who George and Philip Rodgers are—inspired to serve others—raising over $34M to date to ensure no child ever receives a bill for the treatment they receive at the children’s cancer research hospital.

Rodgers, a resident of Benton District 3 for 20 years, has invested in and helped build the community through his business and hopes to help Benton thrive by serving as Police Juror for District 3.  He holds Conservative values and will maintain those as your next Police Juror.

The Rodgers’ are entrepreneurs and hard-working business owners as brother Shane Rodgers has developed the successful restaurant franchise, Shane’s Seafood & BarBQ, and Philip and George have built relationships with local business owners to provide job growth and opportunities.  Philip started his first business mowing lawns as a Southwood High School student and went on to develop a dirt contracting business of his own when he built his first and current home in Benton 20 years ago. While growing his business, he’s worked with the Police Jury directly in developing his own subdivision, Heartwood Acres, located in Benton and partnering with them on municipal project development. He wants to support continued growth in Benton through adequate infrastructure—roads, drainage, and high-speed internet—to keep Benton moving forward without disrupting the draw of Benton—a quiet place to call home tucked away in Cypress Black Bayou and Cypress Lake.

Rodgers knows how to overcome challenges and uncover solutions for the everyday citizen and small business owner because he is one. Philip and his wife Jenny are raising two sons Aiden, 5, and Noah, 7, and have overcome adversity in facing the diagnosis of their son Aiden’s congenital heart defect diagnosis. The Bossier Parish community and their Simple Church family has rallied around them to support them while in Houston getting life-saving treatment and at home as they lead happy, healthy lives in the community.

Rodgers is seeking the position to give back to the community he has helped build and assist in planning its growth that is reflective of the desires of Benton residents to keep residential and commercial growth separate and local, support small business owners, and ensure sustained growth for Benton families and future generations.
